No time to sleep!

My apologies for not updating the 'Notes' blog recently. Teaching high school, being a father of 2, and sleeping are apparently 3 things that are not 'congruent' at times. I have been extremely busy with little time to 'play'. Very brief update:

1. I am the champion! Actually, Kansas won the Nat'l Championship, but I won the Swanson/Paschall/Salter Tourney challenge. Okay, for the sake of being truthful, Jill actually beat me, but she entered her picks incorrectly on the computer - so technology has me victorious. Works for me.

2. Currently teaching the Civil War in American History I (10th graders) via a major iMovie project for my students. We just finished studying the Renaissance & Reformation in World History (9th Graders) and will embark a brief venture into the Americas and touch up on the Incas, Mayans, and Aztecs. It is a little out of order, but that is what you get the first time you teach a unit.

3. Still trying to sell this house so we can move further west for our commute...we, however, may be here a while.

4. Taxes are nearly complete...a little extra time to spare this year - what is happening to me?

5. Andrew and his 'Dragon' teammates played again last Saturday. Andrew looked good...and it isn't just me saying this...I am hearing this from his 'coach' and another parent. Obviously I took this info in a very modest and non-braggadocious way...if you know what I mean!

6. Grandma Greene is making steady progress and is at home! She is on Hospice care and getting treatment for pneumonia (I believe). Anyway - she is apparently one, tough, lady! Hope you are feeling even better Grandma...we love you and are still praying for you!

Talk to you all soon! Until next time...
