Friday night- the week's way of saying Thank You!

The week has come to an end, sort of. What a week & what a wonderful feeling. I have this belief that retirement is the feeling a school teacher (or any Monday - Friday worker) has on Friday night...perpetually!

Jill surprised me today and brought the kids along to the Nebraska Boy's State Basketball Class B Tournament Semi-final game in Lincoln: Gretna vs. Beatrice. Gretna lost by 3 in a close contest. Fun to watch - bring on my favorite time of year: March Madness! Besides the usual - wife's birthday, kids birthday, anniversary, etc...my favorite time of year: the first four days of the NCAA tournament! Those are followed by the rest of the tourney - AWESOME!

Andrew now has a fever and easily went to bed tonight which truly means he isn't feeling well. Avery is feeling better, but greeting people by showing them her tongue...we don't really know what that is all about. Jill is doing well. She is 25 weeks along today...approx 14-15 weeks to go until baby Swanson 3 is to arrive. Here is a current picture of mommy-to-be...isn't she beautiful! We seem to have a consensus for a 'girl' name, but are still trying to find common ground on a 'boy' name...feel free to leave any suggestions in the comment section of the blog!

Big game on Saturday night for the Ducks...you better believe I will be watching!

Until next time...

Hello---Jill, Jon, Andrew and Avery! Jill, you really do look great! Glad you're feeling well and that Andrew and Avery are on the mend as well.

Kristen is helping me get into your site---and into the house sites as well. It's fun to see what "might be". We'll be anxious to hear what happens down the road.

As I write, Dad is listening to the Duck game. Kris and the boys were here for dinner and we all watched the end of the Blazer game---pretty exciting. Let's hope the Ducks can do as well.

Jon, I don't know if I mentioned this morning that I'll be working the month of April at the District office in Vicki Chambers' office (supt. asst. for elem ed). Her secretary, Jennifer, is having surgery. I hope I'm not making a big mistake, but the calendar was pretty free, I really like Jennifer so am glad to help her out, think it will be fun to work with the elementary schools through that office, and was honored in that Vicki asked that I be contacted first. I may be crazy, but it will help with expenses in traveling to Omaha in June.

We're enjoying your blog---and will look forward to further notes. Do enjoy the weekend! It's true---retirement really is one continuous weekend. We send our love to all of you! Mom (and Dad)
